During the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase (2.5.2026), the first gameplay trailer for Kyoto Xanadu was unveiled. The action RPG by Nihon Falcom was first announced in March 2024 and previously known as a new Tokyo Xanadu project. After that announcement, this is the first time Kyoto Xanadu has been shown to the public in action. This new trailer showcases the 2D side-scrolling exploration, 3D action combat, and some of the characters you will meet in the game.

Kyoto Xanadu follows Rei as he joins Hirasaka Academy after awakening his powers and works to conquer the Great Labyrinth: Xanadu. The characters and announced voice cast are shown below.
