New Tokyo Xanadu Project | Teaser Visual

Nihon Falcom has announced a new Tokyo Xanadu project in celebration of the game’s 10th anniversary. While the exact release date and platforms have not been revealed, we at least know the game will be an Action RPG, just like its predecessor.

You can check out the project’s announcement teaser below.

Nihon Falcom also released an Investor Relations (IR) news release regarding the new project. You can check out a description of the game below (Translation by Gematsu).

It has been 10 years since the release of Falcom’s first modern-day action RPG Tokyo Xanadu

Set in Japanese city of Kyoto, this new game depicts the story of juveniles who travel around the otherworldly realm known as “Xanadu.”

While it shares the same world as Tokyo Xanadu, which is set in the Japanese city of Tokyo, the setting is all-new. It is currently in development as a “completely new title” with all game systems built from the ground up, so please look forward to it!

Tokyo Xanadu first launched in Japan for PlayStation Vita in 2015. It was followed by an enhanced port (eX+) for PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch. It was also released in the West for the same platforms, with the Nintendo Switch version scheduled to launch in the summer of 2024.
