This Nintendo Download is about as active as last week, with a slightly quieter sales scene. Meanwhile, we have a quartet of featured games to check out.

Nintendo has also announced some Metroid Dread pre-order offers for those that haven’t already ordered a copy. If you pre-order from GameStop, you’ll get a free pin set, featuring Samus and an E.M.M.I. bot. Meanwhile, pre-ordering at Best Buy will get you a free tech decal set, including Samus in several different poses, and an E.M.M.I. However, it goes without saying that both of these offers are available while supplies last. So if you want them, get them ASAP!

Featured Games

Our first featured game this week is the indie adventure, Eastward. Stuck in the grip of a tyrannical, underground society, a quest for the surface begins. John and Sam must use their skills to overcome odd enemies, dungeons, and puzzles as they travel across a decaying continent. Can you help them restore harmony and perhaps uncover the truth of Sam’s mysterious powers?

Next up we have SkateBIRD, where a lonely little bird aims for the top of the skating world! Unfortunately, their “Big Friend” has put their board away for good. They’re no longer ever home to play with you anymore, because their crappy job is consuming all their time! Can you help the little bird ascend to the top of the skating world and fix your Big Friend’s life along the way?

Our third featured title today is the role-playing game, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom PRINCE’S EDITON. The young King Evan embarks on an epic adventure to save the world. He also founds a brand new kingdom along the way. Furthermore, this version of the game comes with all previous DLCs.

Finally, we round out this week’s featured games with the indie puzzle adventure, TOEM. This quirky, hand-drawn adventure sees you helping people while snapping photos. You’ll use your camera to solve puzzles as you traverse a relaxing, monochrome world full of interesting characters.

Current Sales

The Nintendo Download has another somewhat active week in the sales department. The Summer Sunset Sale we covered last week is still ongoing, as are the TOEM pre-order discount and The Outer Worlds Franchise Sale.

On the new side of things, we have one major new sale this week, the THQ Nordic 10 Year Anniversary Sale. This one runs through September 29th and features 22 games. These include franchises like Darksiders, de Blob, and single games like Titan Quest and Destroy All Humans.

As always, check out Nintendo’s sales page for full details on current sales.

Upcoming Games

We have a trio of upcoming games to look forward to in the Nintendo Download this time around.

We start with the September 18th launch of Squabble, a fighting party game.

Following that, the racing game, Street Outlaws 2: Winner Takes All, arrives on September 21st.

Finally, we round out this trio of upcoming games with a top-down shooter, Crisis Wing, which lands on the Switch eShop on September 22nd.

With that, another Nintendo Download is in the books. Take care until next week!

Michael Fontanini
Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
