Destroy All Humans!

Destroy All Humans! If your not one to enjoy the company of other humans, perhaps the thought of helping another race destroy them excites you. The team at THQ Nordic certainly feels this way as they’ve been hard at work remaking the cult-classic title Destroy All Humans!. Originally released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2 and original Xbox, this complete remake is destined to land on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. While no hard release date has been provided at this time, we do know that it is slated for sometime in 2020. We also know a bit about some of the updates and upgrades that are being made. First and foremost, we’re going to see a transition from the original in-house engine to Unreal 4. We’re also going to see improvements made to Crypto’s aerial combat skills and the ability to use his psychic skills in tandem with his guns. There’s also the addition of a psychokinesis skill, which THQ Nordic describes as “[i]f a Jedi had a love child with the Goat Simulator”.  Rest assured though, the story and dialogue of the original will not be altered. For a bit about that story and the game’s overall vibe, have a look at the provided description below:

The cult-classic returns! Terrorize the people of 1950s Earth in the role of the evil alien Crypto-137. Harvest DNA and bring down the US government in the remake of the legendary alien invasion action adventure. Annihilate puny humans using an assortment of alien weaponry and psychic abilities. Reduce their cities to rubble with your Flying Saucer! One giant step on mankind!

The Destroy All Humans! remake is being developed internally by THQ Nordic’s Black Forest Games studio. It’s release in 2020 will coincide with the 15th anniversary of the series.
