A small bevy of Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon news dropped today to confirm, and re-confirm, new additions to the remixed adventure due this November, via a new trailer drop. In addition to a previously revealed photo mode, you’ll be able to now surf between islands.

Mantine Surfing is a new Poke-Ride option, allowing you to surf between islands at last. The mode of transport takes the form of a glorified mini-game as you earn points for performing surf moves (Surfing Pikachu of Pokémon Yellow comes to mind).

After being revealed last month, the trailer showed more of the photogenic Photo Club, which allows you to pose with your team mates and edit the backgrounds and effects.

As promised, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will shake up last year’s releases with Mina as the 7th Trial Captain (she was originally a post-game challenger), an Alolan Marowak is now a Totem Pokemon, and Lillie and Hau were granted new promotional art as their role in the story increases.

It has also been confirmed that over 400 Pocket Monsters will appear in Alola this time, as opposed to the 301 in Sun and Moon. Critters including Zorua, Larvitar, and Tropius were highlighted. Exclusive to Ultra Sun are Houndour, Houndoom, Alolan Vulpix, Alolan Ninetales, while Ultra Moon gets Electrike, Manectric, Alolan Sandshrew, Alolan Sandslash. This parallels the similar PokeDex expansions of past “third versions” as with Pokémon Platinum and Black 2/White 2.

This news for a future Pokémon game coincides with today’s release of elder statesmen games, Pokémon Gold & Silver on 3DS Virtual Console and Pokken Tournament DX on the Nintendo Switch, an enhanced port of last year’s arcade cum Wii U fighter.

Those who purchase Gold and Silver from the 3DS eShop will also get a serial code for the Mythical Pokémon Celebi to redeem in Pokémon Sun, Moon, or Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Pokken Tournament DX also has serial codes of its own, including avatar clothing for males (TC2JY22VBQUU), and females (J7XEEQLYNDMT).

Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon release worldwide on November 17th, 2017 for the 3DS family of systems.
