Mighty No. 9 Beck Surprise

Mighty No. 9‘s new trailer was posted yesterday by Deep Silver. What followed were hordes of disturbed fans and backers of the 4 million dollar Kickstarter project, presumably disappointed by the PV.

Not only did the trailer fail to meet fans expectations, but it also spawned a hurtful post from President and CEO of Inti Creates Takuya Aizu on Twitter.

The post reads “Awful. What is this PV? What the hell was D*** *il*** thinking making a crappy PV like this?!  Unforgivable.” So it seems like Aizu knows that Mighty No. 9 has something more to offer than this PV.

A stream of the game has been announced on May 27 to be hosted by Aizu.

Mighty No. 9 is coming to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, and PC on June 21 in NA and Japan, and June 24 in EU.

Well that’s understandable. The trailer was pretty crappy and he should be upset.

  • Panpopo

It will be nice to see some gameplay.

  • Paychi

I dunno. I thought the trailer was a good representation of the final product of this $4 million dollar scam.

    • Nicholas Perry

Scam because what? They made some mistakes along the way, are releasing the game on ~10 platforms at once and they want them all to be as bug free as possible on day 1?

      OK.

    • Paychi

What bugs? You honestly think this final product is $4million worth for a kickstarter? Take a look at what WayForward is doing with $1million. People need to stop worshiping Inafune. I truly honestly do feel bad for Megaman fans. They’re treated like shit. If Mighty No 9 brings you comfort, then more power to you man.

  • Audie Bakerson

    Garbage in garbage out.

  • Adachi

Whoever did the trailer didn’t get the memo on who the target market is.

  • Nicholas Perry

See now people, remember you have to realize. Marketing people are different and often have nothing to do with the game. And often make a game look worse than it actually is. Like here. The backer demo is great (I’ve replayed it several times) and I have faith the game will be fine based on that. Not at all represented well by this.

(DooM 4 is another good example of shit marketing and marketing making the game look generic, especially the cover art)

Just another reason for the idiots to come up with some shit to sling at MN9 because insert here.(Delays, mistakes, graphics aren’t amazing, things weren’t done the way you wanted, etc)
