XSEED Games has released a second trailer for Suda51’s upcoming title, Killer is Dead. While the previous trailer was showing the introductory of what to expect from the game’s unique aesthetics, this one expands more on the stylistic movie-like narrative that Suda is also known for, ala Killer 7. Check it out below, plus some of the game’s screenshots previously shown.
The motivations of the game’s protagonist, Mondo Zappa, as well as his employer, a mysterious information trafficker known as Bryan, are explored in this all-new trailer, which opens with a toast to the executioners. The Earth is revealed to be in peril, and Mondo hints at the enigmatic ‘darkness’ with which he is in constant struggle to control in his life as an executioner — a power he must utilize yet at the same time not allow to consume him. Several areas of the game and new in-game enemies are also revealed for the first time in the trailer.
Along with many other titles, Killer is Dead is still currently set to be a Summer release for this year and will be available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
