Raven
Raven is a hard-eyed mercenary who is found travelling with Lucius. Formally known as Lord Raymond of the house of Cornwell, he joins Eliwood’s army with the purpose of killing Hector in retribution for the house of Ostia killing his family and destroying his home. He’s the brother to Priscilla and master to Lucius. Revenge is his sole reason for living and even joins the enemy before he is recruited. Eventually he joins so he can be closer to Hector.
Depending on what happens to Raven, he either gives up his revenge and confronts Hector knowing that the rumors he heard about his family were just rumors, or he disappears and is never heard from again. With a support with Lucius, Raven is healed of his heavy burden by his friend. He confronts Hector and Hector offers to rebuild his home, he declines and leaves with a heart eased of the torment that had been brewing and festering for so long. “Lucius: I have told you many, many times… that you should quit this revenge, Lord Raymond.” Raven: “Silence! Must you keep bringing that up?” Lucius: “Yes! Let me speak my mind for the last time! Lord Raymond, you are not someone who should dwell on revenge!” With no support, the ending changes and Raven just up and disappears, who knows what happened to him and darkness in his heart could still be growing. Supports that change the ending paint a greater picture of the characters and really help bring them alive as characters rather than units. The final path that Raven chooses is based on if you let him speak with his friend or leave him alone. Even when the game ends the characters grow and change based on your choices. Raven is a great example of that.
