Ash | Battle

More good news today for 3DS owners looking for their next casual RPG fix. American developer SRRN Games’ acclaimed 2010 iOS turn-based RPG Ash (http://srrngames NULL.com/ash/) is coming to the 3DS eShop sometime in Q3 or Q4 of 2013, courtesy of Hong Kong- and Shanghai-based developer and publisher CIRCLE Entertainment (http://www NULL.cir-ent NULL.com/). Not content with a simple port, CIRCLE is giving the game a graphical upgrade and possibly some other 3DS-specific features. Ash for the 3DS will be available in North America, Europe, and Japan in English and Japanese.

Set in the crumbling Empire of Aghaus, Ash follows two mercenaries, Damien and Nicholas, as they gradually become embroiled in a continent-wide conflict. The iOS version, optimized for the iPhone and iPod Touch only, is currently on sale for US$0.99 on the iTunes App Store (https://itunes NULL.apple NULL.com/app/ash/id381890864). A lite version (https://itunes NULL.apple NULL.com/app/ash-lite/id412680770) and a digital soundtrack (http://itunes NULL.apple NULL.com/album/ash-original-soundtrack/id416104723) are also available. In 2012, SRRN released a sequel, Ash II: Shadows (http://srrngames NULL.com/shadows/), through publisher Konami Digital Entertainment in “SILVER (https://itunes NULL.apple NULL.com/app/ash-ii-shadows-silver-edition/id491773097)” and “GOLD (https://itunes NULL.apple NULL.com/app/ash-ii-shadows-gold-edition/id486422983)” editions.
