JP Kellams, otherwise known as Jean Pierre Kellams has announced that he has left Platinum Games as of today, 13th March 2017. This comes via an Instagram post on his personal social media account where he posts a picture with the following written inside.

15 years ago, I came to Japan to fulfill my childhood dream of making games with my heroes. No matter how hard the day, I always walked into the office in awe of the creativity around me, and with the joy that working with each and every one of my coworkers brought me. It is hard to say goodbye to them, to Platinum Games, and to Japan. Yet, embracing new challenges is part of my DNA, and after almost 10 years of working with the team (more with my Capcom / Clover days), it is time to move on to new challenges that I’m excited to share soon. I’ll be forever grateful to all people who have touched this journey, because they’ve shaped who I am.
Platinum maintains its luster forever.

Some of Kellam’s credits include being the creative producer for the now cancelled Scalebound, writer for Vanquish and various roles aiding the English releases of other Platinum Games titles, including Bayonetta. All the best in whatever you do next, JP Kellams.

About Joseph Puntschart

A university student who loves niche games and desires for them to be more fairly represented in the world. Favourite games include Persona 4 Golden, Super Mario Galaxy, Kingdom Hearts II and IA/VT Colorful. Hopes that one day a Japanese publisher will take the risk and make a Yaoi ecchi game. Think Valkyrie Drive with guys and you're on the right lines.
