The patch recently promised by Konami for the Zone of the Enders HD Collection is now live on PlayStation 3. It definitely seems to have fixed the issues that have been frustrating gamers since the game’s release last year.

While there were a host of complaints about the game from day one, the biggest issue was the extreme FPS drop which came with the game’s transition from PlayStation 2. When an amazing game with 60 FPS has an HD collection with choppy animation along with a host of bugs and glitches, it’s no surprise that fans were disappointed. Luckily though the patch does address many of the complaints, including the frame rate issues, so owners of the PlayStation 3 version can finally enjoy the Zone of the Enders HD Collection to its full extent.

The update is 594 MB, so if you’ve got the game on PS3, get that download going! Unfortunately for those who have it on Xbox 360, there is still no news about the patch coming your way. Konami only spoke of a PS3 update in the initial announcement, so the best we can do is cross our fingers and hope that the patch makes it to Xbox.

For those unfamiliar with Zone of the Enders, it is an action mecha series created by Hideo Kojima, who is best known as the director of the Metal Gear series.
