Sonic Lost World

A new trailer for Sonic Lost World has been released that highlights some of Sonic’s newest color-based powers. Take a look below.

Sonic’s new powers include morphing into a red eagle, a purple black hole, and a pink musical note. These new transformations are accompanied by a couple of returning powers from Sonic Colors like the yellow drill and blue laser, complete with the wisps that grant them.

Comparisons to Super Mario Galaxy were already inevitable given the level layout. The new trailer adds even more validity to such comparisons. The multitude of power-ups in the Galaxy series afforded the game a wide breadth of variety in level design. The power-ups shown in this trailer have the potential to do the same.

Sonic Lost World will be released on October 22, 2013 for the Wii U and the 3DS. Check out our look at the game from this year’s E3.

About Karli Winata

Karli Winata is an avid gamer with a taste for a little bit of everything. Except for sports games. And racing sims. And definitely not hidden object games! I guess everything is too broad a term. Suffice it to say that he has been known to play hours of Call of Duty multiplayer in between bouts of Persona fusing and Star Coin collecting while saving the world/galaxy through sensibly bald space marines or plucky teenagers with impossible hairstyles. Where does he find the time to write about them?
