PlayStation Network - PSN

Let’s delve right into the goodies for this issue of PSN Weekly. Sleeping Dogs will start us off the right way. The game is free on the PS3 for PS Plus members, or $49.99 for those who have not yet purchased a Plus membership. In Sleeping Dogs you play as Wei Shen, an undercover cop who has a lot on his plate. Wei is trying to take down the Triads from the inside with some undercover action. The game takes place in Hong Kong, where one of the most powerful and dangerous criminal organizations can be located. The version of Sleeping Dogs you will be getting for free is not just the full game, oh no, it also includes 3 premium DLC packs. Enjoy!

BlazBlue Continuum Shift EXTEND Box Art

The other free game for PS Plus members this month will be BlazBlue: Continuum shift EXTEND for the PlayStation Vita. This game is the definitive version of the Continuum Shift series. It includes character balance tweaks, a new character, and story modes for the three previous DLC characters. New modes and improved online multiplayer will add to the enjoyment of the game as well.

Next on our list of goodies, we have Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly fluttering onto the growing list of PS2 Classics. Due to too many admissions by players of not being able to finish the first game due to its scary nature, this game’s focus has shifted. The story line is more interesting in an attempt to lure the players into the story so that they can overcome this fear and finish the game. Have any of you loyal readers played the game and experienced this? Either way, the game will be available once the store updates.

knytt-underground

Knytt Underground is a PS3 and PS Vita cross-buy game that will be free for PS Plus members this month, and $14.99 for non-members. This groovy little game has a wide variety of thrilling quests, and is sure to keep you entertained for a good, long while. Start your journey to ring the six bells of fate and save the enchanted underground before it is too late. For free, why not?

Papo & Yo Bundle for the PS3 will be available at a 25% reduced rate on PSN  this week. This adventure game follows a young lad named Quico and his best friend, Monster. Monster is a huge beast with razor sharp teeth who has an addiction to poisonous frogs. Interesting. When Monster eats a frog he goes into a violent rage, yet Quico doesn’t seem to be put off by this and is still willing to go on a dangerous journey to seek a cure for his bestie. Throughout the game you work on your friendship with Monster through solving puzzles and managing to use his moods to best suit you.

Papo y Yo Title

Germinator for the PS Vita will also be free for Plus Members this month. The game will also be available for $9.99 to nonmembers. This looks to be a funky match-three type of game that takes it to the next level.

Pinball Arcade is free this month as well, and is a cross-buy game for both the PS3 and PS Vita. This game is also available at a $9.99 price tag.

GungHo has a few more import classics to offer as well. Motto Trump Shiyouyo!, Zero Kara no Shogi ~Shogi Youchien Ayumi-gumi~, and  Zero Kara no Mahjong ~Mahjong Youchien Tamago-gumi 2~ will all be available.
