Well this is exciting. Platinum Games, the makers of the Wii U exclusive Bayonetta 2, wants to use Kickstarter to release a game on Steam. Atsushi Inaba, executive director for Platinum Games, had this to say:
If you think about the console market in Japan, and compare it to the world, it’s not that big…so I view the PC as an area with huge potential. It would be great if we could do a Kickstarter and gather enough money for a game to be released on Steam.Considering what they’ve already made with the constraints of publishers, imagine what they could make if they were as successful as others. Again, how exciting.
