At this year’s Comic-Con, the developers of the upcoming PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale held a Q&A session after showing off their stuff. One of the audience members asked what character they want to see in their game that would be impossible to add. Both of the creators said that they’d like to see Mario in their game, despite it never happening.

I’m not entirely sure if they really meant that or if they were being gigantic trolls. I found it amusing either way, but what really made my day were the reactions to said piece of news. Ranging from snarky rage to begging Nintendo not to do this, die-hard Nintendo fanboys raging over pointless shit never cease to amuse me. Well, maybe except when I’m their target

…oh, to hell with it. BANJO-KAZOOIE KICKS MARIO 64’S ASS!!!

I suppose it could be trolling. People keep comparing it to Smash Bros, and that nets them attention, it seems. Who knows.

    • How is this trolling? If I were in their position, I would legitimately want Mario in the game too.

    • Likewise. It would be a interesting combination. Mario cameo in Playstation All-Stars and then a Sony mascot in the next Smash Bros. I’d buy it.

Well, I was just responding to the “gigantic trolls” part. But it made me think of how the Youtube video for Playstation All-stars originally had Smash Bros in the tags. I, for one, am not annoyed by what Sony’s doing with this game. Actually, it’s kind of funny.

  • I agree with the Banjo-Kazooie part XD

  • Eh I don’t see so much as trolling, the question is which impossible character would they want in, and Mario is pretty much the last character your going to see in this game. Still pretty funny either way. Seeing as how much Nintendo fanboys rage over this game for no reason, I guess they could be trying to troll them, and probably succeeding.

    • For no reason? Sonytards and xbox tards are always in posts, forums, and youtube video spitting shit to nintendo, and you say there is “no reason”? Obviusly, the reason is no this game itself, but its more like payback.

    • T’is a vicious cycle that will never end. It’s incredibly entertaining to watch, sometimes. 😀

    • And nintendo/xbox fans do the same to sony. Thats what annoying fanboys do. Look nintendo IS falling behind people are going to keep reminding you of that just ignore it and enjoy your games.

    • TrueWiiMaster

I think the reason Nintendo fans rage over this game is that it’s absolutely a blatant rip off of Smash Bros. Think what you will of the reason, but it’s a reason nonetheless. It’s always annoying when companies copy Nintendo’s super-successful ideas.

    • Yeah the idea of a fighting game to pull together sonys roster of mascots? Alright? Thats pretty much where the similarities stop. Compare Melee to all stars. They’re way different.

    • TrueWiiMaster

The only real difference between the two games, besides whose name is on top, is that in Smash Bros you can knock out opponents at any time, and in All-Stars you have to use a finisher. Other than that one difference, All-stars seems to be a complete and utter ripoff of Smash Bros.

    • All stars looks like a party game. It looks like brawl if it could be dumbed down any more than it already is. They’re already making a worse game than any smash bros why should nintendo fans care if sony takes an idea and does it horribly? Just laugh at it.

  • Yep, this is totally going to happen.

  • This just leads me to believe that Sony and its fans just don’t understand how the video game industry works.
I hear so many people saying that they’re just waiting for Nintendo to go third party so they can experience those amazing Mario games on their play-stations.
They want to enjoy those “Amazing Nintendo Games,” but without actually supporting those “Crappy Nintendo Consoles”, so they sit there and fling dung at Nintendo, hoping they can convince people that if they stop buying Nintendo consoles, then they can finally get Super Mario Galaxy on their PS3.
If any console should stop, it’s the play-station line. Thanks to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cwn4R_GexLM Sony would be lucky if I buy anything from them again.

Ha that was great. Kudos to who made that.

    • I’ve rarely heard that people want Mario on their ps3s that’s usually coming from the under 12 audience and why would you even give them attention?

  • onepiecem7

    Mario 64 Kicks Banjoo-Kazooie ass

    • RyanOPR

      Ha I completely agree

  • DunbansBiggestFanForever

what the fuck is this? Being a troll on Operation Rainfall? The way he wrote the article and shit. Whats wrong with you?

    • RyanOPR

Relax, it’s just a jest. All in good fun. People like different things.
