I got sick midway through this week’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons column after I came back from Toronto. It turns out all I wanted to do was sleep and…not a whole lot else. It was a miracle I played at all, to be honest.

I cannot remember the last time I felt this ill, and unfortunately, I can’t just buy a bag of medicine to heal me up from Nook’s Cranny in real life.

If you missed last week’s Tom Nook’s Snapshots, you can check it out here.

Received mail in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Kicks came to town! And he finally had something I needed to buy! I snapped up the canvas backpack he had for sale, and I am sure I am going to wear it in the coming weeks. After visiting Kicks, I stored a lot of clothing items I had bought the day before inside my home storage.

At that point, I aggressively deleted a lot of mail. I was almost full again, and I tossed around 100-something away. I had so many shipped items I never picked up, and I had so many duplicate letters from islanders I didn’t need to hold onto. It took a lot longer than I expected to dump my old mail.

After selling some excessive items to Nook’s Cranny, I visited the Able Sisters, did not buy anything, and ended my day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons there.

Buying cactus from Redd.

I harvested and cut down a money tree that finally sprouted near my crops, and I placed the organ I got last column week into my gym. I ended up having to reset the flag location up there, but it was well worth it to create this cool aesthetic.

But, that wasn’t the focus of my time today in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Instead, it was visiting Redd’s boat because he had more art to sell. Today, he had a Familiar Statute for sale…Which I instantly recognized as The Thinker by Auguste Rodin. Such a beautiful piece, and one I immediately snapped up. For Blathers. Of course, for Blathers. Blathers needs it for the museum.

Redd also was selling saguro cactus! I remember visiting those in Arizona, once. I bought a bunch of them because I thought it would be cool to make a small area of the island cactus-themed.

Finally, I deposited another 100,000 Bells into my bank account to help build up my savings. That million-Bell-plus mortgage won’t pay for itself, and I do want to eventually pay it…

K.K Slider visits my island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Today is Saturday. Saturday means K.K. Slider time.

I popped by shortly after 10 PM that night, and I let him pick the song.

Tonight, he picked one of my favorites: I Love You. This was a secret song K.K. Slider only played as a request way back in the original Animal Crossing for the Nintendo GameCube, and I had fond memories of that song then, too. It is always something that makes me happy when K.K. Slider plays it, no matter the game I hear it in.

Talking to Tutu.

Today, I started to get sick on my return from Canada, and I just didn’t feel like doing much.

I popped into Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and I talked to Tutu. Tutu told me about how much she loves sunny days, and that…was honestly about it. I was surprised personally that I got through that today.

Planting cactus on my island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

With Festivale coming up soon, I purchased the Festivale lamp from Nook’s Cranny. I already have the full furniture set, but I wanted a spare one to possibly put somewhere. Afterwards, I dug up my daily money rock and then sold a bunch of stuff that I’ve collected back to Nook’s Cranny for another 25,668 Bells.

Finally, I set up the three cacti I got from Redd’s up on the corner of my island near the candle that has been diligently burning away for years over there.

Helping Label out with her survey.

Today, I helped Label out once more with her fashion surveys! She wanted me to dress in goth, and she gave me some ‘goth’ clothing to wear. All i did was swap out my top for that, and she apparently loved it. Does that mean that my natural clothing style is goth?

I found my daily Animal Crossing: New Horizons money rock over in the gardens, and that was it for the day.

Making a Snowboy.

Today, I built a Snowboy and I somehow got all of the proportions right! I had to work hard to avoid rolling the snowballs into a building or a tree, but I succeeded. In return for my efforts, Snowboy gave me a frozen counter, and he paired it up with a large snowflake. I might want to do a full frozen themed room at some point, if I can get the full set.

I also found a message in a bottle on the beach today. It contained a DIY recipe from Lucy for a cosmos wreath. I am surprised I got this, as it is a floral decoration and there aren’t a lot of flowers to be found at the moment with all the snow everywhere.

Finally, I went fishing and I found an old tire.

How far along are you with the frozen furniture set?
