UPDATE: And just like that, it is sold out. I apologize for getting anyone’s hopes up. I should have known it would sell out lightning quick.
ORIGINAL ARTICLE: The NES Classic hasn’t become a rare unicorn just yet. Starting today, Best Buy is restocking their supplies of the NES Classic. However, with Nintendo’s recent announcement of the discontinuation of the console, supplies are expected to be limited. Today is the only day this week they will restock. Grab them while you can, if they haven’t sold out already.
Further note, starting on April 28th, Best Buy will also have the Nintendo Switch in stock to celebrate the release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
The NES Classic launched back in November with 30 built-in games. Consumers have had to struggle with the low quantity produced, not unlike when Nintendo originally released their Amiibo figures. If the rumor is true about a SNES Classic, hopefully Nintendo will manage that console better.
