Onagro Studios recently sent out a press release to celebrate the fact that their game Möira reached the €12,000 (about $13,600 USD) Kickstarter goal. And since that announcement they’ve gone on to hit their €13,000 (about $14,800 USD) stretch goal which adds a bonus world to the main game. Other goals include extra playable characters from other franchises, a translation into 4 different languages and the coveted Wii U port at €36,000 (about $41,000 USD). The team is also recently held a fan art contest due to the successful of the game. For those unfamiliar, I wrote a spotlight on Möira a few weeks back and I was impressed by the detailed sprite work and the mashing together of a ton of different retro games styles from Kirby to Mega Man. As for the story, the game features slacker student Rubick trying to find his missing teacher and stop the evil sorcerer Anaxogoras from using an ancient weapon to take over the land. The fact that this weapon, the Chroma, has the ability to change the color palette of the world is one of the main visual draws of this game. If you still want to contribute to this Kickstarter you can do so until Apr 13 and you can read the full press release below for more information:

Moira Reaches Target Goal on Kickstarter and now shoots for Stretch Goals

Drawing heavily from classics such as Kirby and Mega Man, the game features a “copy & mix” mechanic that gives the player the ability to craft spells by mixing copied enemy abilities.

Brazilian project Moira reached it’s target goal of 12,000 euros on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter and still has a couple of weeks before the campaign closes.

Moira is a spellcrafting action-platformer by Onagro Studios. Players will control Rubick, a young magician with the ability of mimicking the powers of your enemies and then combining those powers into new unique spells. As Rubick can fuse copied abilities into completely new ones, Moira promises us to fuse action-platforming, tight combat and devious bosses with exploration, secrets and lots of puzzles into a unique and endearing game.

Stretch goals of the crowdfunding includes the creation of a Bonus World at 13,000 euros, an Extra Combinable Power at 16,000 euros, and a version for WiiU – and perhaps other consoles – at 36,000 euros.
