A special release date announcement event was recently held on Aoko Aozaki’s birthday (July 7th) at Naka-Ikebukuro Park for Ufotable’s anime film adaptation of Witch on the Holy Night. The event featured Haruka Tomatsu, the voice of Aoko Aozaki, as a special guest and multiple people in attendance. A new trailer was shown with scenes featuring Aoko Aozaki and Alice Kuonji. At the end of the trailer, it was revealed that the film will release in theaters in Japan on November 20, 2026.

An overview of the film is as follows:

A certain girl attending high school, Aozaki Aoko,
is in truth a witch living in the modern age. — Though merely an apprentice.
As she works toward becoming a full-fledged witch,
spending her days with her housemate Kuonji Alice–

The girl meets a boy.
This is the story of one girl’s(witch’s) beginning.

Witch on the Holy Night is produced by Ufotable and distributed by TOHO and Aniplex. It is an anime film adaptation of the TYPE-MOON visual novel of the same name which released for PC in 2012. The visual novel’s HD remaster released in 2022 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch and 2023 for PC via Steam. It was first written in 1996 by Kinoko Nasu and it laid the groundwork for future works by Nasu such as Tsukihime and Fate/stay night.
