On the company’s 45th anniversary (March 9th, 2026), Nihon Falcom announced Dragon Slayer Project for consoles. Dragon Slayer is one of Nihon Falcom’s oldest series, with the first game releasing in 1984 for PC-8801. Some of Nihon Falcom’s well known series such as Xanadu and The Legend of Heroes, started off as part of the Dragon Slayer series. Nihon Falcom’s popular and long-running Trails series is a subseries of The Legend of Heroes. The mentioned spin-offs are active today with Kyoto Xanadu and Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter scheduled to release in 2026.

No other information on the Dragon Slayer Project such as an official title, genre, release date, or platforms have been announced at this time.
