Unicorn Overlord - Details on Characters, the World and More

Atlus has dropped a lot of details about their upcoming release of Unicorn Overlord. This game is being developed by the famous Vanillaware and looks to be just as amazing as their previous works.

The story here takes place on the continent of Fevrith. This land was once comprised of five nations: Cornia, Drakenhold, Elheim, Bastorias, and Albion. However, the reborn Zenoiran Empire dominates the land now. The Kingdom of Cornia is located in the center of the continent. This is a very fertile land with a powerful military force. The lords of the kingdom are very loyal to the royal family, and Queen Ilenia’s name is sacred to her subjects.

Drakenhold is a land of mountains and deserts in the southeastern part of the continent. This kingdom has a ton of mineral resources and military force led by dragon knights. They have fought with Cornia over border issues for many years.

Elheim is a land of elves, these include both light and dark. This land is nestled in verdant forests in the southwestern part of the continent. They have an interesting system of government, headed Turenós. The woods guard this land from any would be invaders.

Bastorias is a country extending across a vast cold region to the north. This land is home to various types of beast-folk known as “bestrals” who possess frightening martial prowess. This country has no King and is run mostly by the clan leaders.

Lastly, there is Albion. This is a religious state on a large island in the western part of the continent. This faith based military is under the command of the Pontiff of the Palevian Orthodoxy. Many winged individuals called Angels live here.

Unicorn Overlord‘s cast is about what you would expect from a fantasy game like this. There is Travis who is a spy, a powerful mage named Yahna, a Knight named Clive, Chloe: another member of the Liberation Army and Josef’s apprentice, a former Knight named Hodrick and lastly Melisandre who is head of House Meillet, a distinguished Cornian clan.

Gameplay here will consist of players taking on quests for various rewards. As you liberate or rebuild towns ravaged by the empire, you will gain access to new facilities such as inns and weapons shops. You will also be able to station troops in towns you have rebuilt to collect rewards each round, or play a mining minigame to get even more materials for your army in this war!
