Today Koei Tecmo has revealed more details about their upcoming release of Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires. This release adds tactical and strategic war elements to the over the top Musou action the series is known for. Players will take the battlefield to conquer Ancient China. This cannot be done with brute force however, but players will have delve in to humankind’s worst kind of combat, politics. Players will experience scenarios throughout many historic moments that include: the Yellow Turban Rebellion and the Battle of Chibi. History however is not set in stone here. You can reshape history in many different ways depending on the actions you take!

Here is more about the game from the press release:

Depending on play style, gamers will be rewarded with one of six titles based on reputation. After receiving your title, the affinity between you and the other officers will change, and there will even be special events to help showcase the truly good and truly evil among us. As event scenes play out, you will also be able to witness intense human drama. By deepening your relationships with your favorite officers, not only will you be able to marry them, but you can also have a child who has the ability to grow up and become an officer, enabling gamers to play through Conquest mode once again, only this time, playing as the new officer who they’ve already watched grow up inside their game.

In addition to these details Koei Tecmo has revealed a demo would be releasing here in the West prior to the game’s Feb. 15, 2022 release date. Players will be to check out improved castle sieges and the full version of the game’s edit mode. Officers you create can be used in the final version of the game so long you purchase it on the same platform.

Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires will launch on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, Windows PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and digitally on PlayStation 5.
