Summer Games Done Quick 2021

The speedrunning community will come together this weekend for its annual Summer Games Done Quick 2021 Online in support of Doctors Without Borders, featuring a diverse lineup of speedruns and gameplay showcases streamed live on the official Games Done Quick Twitch channel. The event will run July 4-11. You can view the schedule here.

Highlights of this year’s event include a run of Ghosts ‘N Goblins Resurrection by TheMexicanRunner, a perfect-score GeoGuessr playthrough by havrd, a four-way Ristar race between chronoon, Lizstar, ShimeGabriel, and Haram_Scaram, a blindfolded run of Super Mario 64 by Bubzia, and a Super Metroid race between Oatsngoats, Behemoth87, and ShinyZeni.

Last year’s event raised $2.3 million USD. It was also the first time Summer Games Done Quick had gone online only. Since 2010, Games Done Quick has partnered with some of the world’s most impactful charities, including AbleGamers, Organization for Autism Research, and Prevent Cancer Foundation, all while bringing people together to cheer on the best speedrunners and gamers in the world. To date, Games Done Quick events have raised over $31 million in total for charity.
