The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure | Cover

The Geofront has announced that The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure (Ao no Kiseki) localization mod will launch on May 22nd. The group is known for their well-received The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero (Zero no Kiseki) localization mod. Fans who wish to use the mod will need a copy of the Chinese PC version of Ao no Kiseki. If you want to purchase your own copy, you can check out this guide from The Geofront.

About the game:
Trails to Azure is the fifth game in the Trails series and the conclusion of its second arc – colloquially known as the Crossbell arc. Azure takes places a few months after Trails from Zero and concurrently with the next games in the series: Trails of Cold Steel and Trails of Cold Steel II.

With Crossbell’s former mafia dismantled in the wake of the cult incident, the city’s underworld is undergoing a great power struggle. Crossbell’s newly-elected mayor, Dieter Crois, has high expectations of the SSS, which has risen to the challenge by recruiting two new members: Noel Seeker and Wazy Hemisphere. Though the SSS has restored some of the police’s reputation, an even greater challenge awaits: mounting pressure from the Erebonian Empire and Calvard Republic. Crossbell’s politcal climate is about to reach its boiling point, and in the shadows, the conspiracy the SSS unconvered in Zero has yet to be fully resolved.

Key features:
Quality of Life Enchancements — Exclusive to the Geofront mod of Azure are several quality of life improvements never before seen for Ao no Kiseki, such as turbo mode, autosaves, and a message backlog. The mod also supports resolutions and frame rates higher than those in the original PC release and provides several fixes for bugs that were once present.

Updated Orbment SystemTrails to Azure is the first game in the series to make use of the “master quartz” seen in Cold Steel. Azure has an orbment system completely unique from every Trails game, blending the classic style from Trails in the Sky and Zero with the streamlined process made famous in Cold Steel.

A Forgotten Masterpiece — Play one of the best RPGs to never be released in the West and a key entry in Falcom’s ever-growing Trails series. Experience the epic tale of the Crossbell arc in its entirety and see how it ties in with later entries.

The Trails You Know and LoveTrails to Azure is a localization made by some of the most ardent Trails fans in the world. Experience Azure at the same level of quality and lore consistency as the seven officially-localized Trails games, as well as the Geofront’s Trails from Zero.

You can check out both a trailer and screenshots for the game below.
