The Geofront has announced that they will be doing a fan localization of The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure, almost three months after releasing their localization of The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero. This localization will be based on the translation work from a team which came about on heroesoflegend.org. Guren no Heya Kara, who was the lead translator of the original Trails from Zero translation, provided the game’s translation. Additional translation work came from KOL, Flamethrower (the original project’s lead programmer), and Kitsune.
Geofront’s localization will be based on the least-altered version of Guren’s original Trails to Azure translation, just as it was for their Trails from Zero localization. Editing for the Trails to Azure localization is currently at 75%, and you can check out their announcement trailer below. The fan localization is for the PC version of the game.
Trails to Azure‘s fan localization will be handled by The Geofront’s C Sector. Zerker, the project lead and lead editor for the Trails from Zero project, will take on a more minor role (editor) for the Azure localization.
The C Sector Azure team consists of the following individuals:
- Lead Programmer: JoseJL
- Programmer: Ribose
- Lead Translator: Catasplurge
- Translator: Gu4n
- Translator: Shawnji
- Translator: Ravan
- Lead Editor: KillScottKill
