From the co-creators of Dishonored and Prey (2017), comes a dark, action RPG/simulation, Weird West. This surreal reimagining of a new developing frontier was revealed at the 2019 Game Awards Thursday night. Weird West is the debut title for the indie development studio, WolfEye. According to the reveal trailer, “Coming out here could be the best thing that ever happened to you. If you can survive, that is..” Here is that trailer:

Weird West brings a dark, fantasy reimagining of the Wild West. The frontier is shared by gunslingers, lawmen, and strange creatures. Players will experience the stories of a group of unusual heroes, but these stories are written by the decisions you make. They take place in an unforgiving world where the stakes are high, and each one of the journies is tailored to your choices. Will you venture onward alone, or form a posse? It should be noted here that the game is single player. Either way, it’s up to you to make each story into a legend of your own. All the while, you’ll get to unearth the mysteries of the Wild West, through the intertwined fates of these unusual heroes.

You can find out more about the game at the Weird West Steam page. According to that page, the release date is the infamous “Coming Soon”. Finally, here are some screenshots:

About Michael Fontanini

Michael is a veteran gamer in my early 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES and SNES. He loves Nintendo but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks or bike rides, and loves animals.

Michael is also a computer programmer. This started with a toy he got as a kid called PreComputer 1000 that was made by V-Tech. It had a simple programming mode which is what started him down the road of being a programmer! Michael can program in BASIC, Visual Basic, C++, C#, and is familiar with Java and Lua Script.

Putting programming and gaming together, Michael became a hobbyist game developer which may give him some good insights on game development! Most recently, he has been playing with the free version of the Unity engine (a powerful and easy-to-use game engine).

I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
