Nintendo / Frito-Lay Variety Packs

Junk food and video games have always been an iconic combo like peanut butter and jelly. And like a fresh pack of chips, Nintendo and Frito-Lay just announced a tasty partnership. From March 25 to May 19 Frito-Lays variety packs will feature Nintendo legends Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi. These specially designed packages are cross promotions for Switch games such as New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe and the upcoming Yoshi’s Crafted World.

Those who purchase these specially marked variety packs have a chance at winning a Nintendo Switch system and three Nintendo Switch games selected by Frito-Lay. Like Mario looking for stars, fans who buy these packs should be on the lookout for special codes that they can input on the Frito-Lay giveaway site. Winners are announced every hour for the next two months of the promotion, so players have plenty of chances to win.

The soon to be president of Nintendo of America, Doug Bowser, even had this to say, “This partnership with Frito-Lay Variety Packs is another way for us to expand the Nintendo brand and bring it directly to families. Mario and Frito-Lay Variety Packs are a great fit, as both are loved by people of all ages.” It’s an exciting time to be a Nintendo Switch owner and being a Nintendo fan in general.

About Mohammad Maidin

Mo is an avid JRPG and horror fan whose interest in gaming began at 4 years old when his parents bought him his first console: the Sega Genesis. His love for horror games started from buying a mint condition Resident Evil 2 at a yard sale and was too spooked as a kid to play it until years later where he learned to love it. The love for JRPGs began around this time too as he found comfort in Final Fantasy 4 after his initial zombie scare. Today he still plays both franchises and on his spare time likes to visit art walks and museums, find hole in the wall restaurants, hikes, and do some freelance story writing (or at least attempt to).
