Valkyria Chronicles' Welkin Gunther

The original Valkyria Chronicles is being ported to Nintendo Switch. As part of the SEGAFes event in Akihabara this past weekend, SEGA confirmed the original tactical RPG comprised of military-meets-anime hijinks will launch along the Japanese release of Valkyria Chronicles 4 this fall. As a special bonus, all the game’s DLC will be included for free.

Upon its Japanese release, Valkyria Chronicles will be digital-only on the Switch eShop for $18.50 USD. For those purchasing from the first-print run of Valkyria Chronicles 4 at retail, there will be a ticket included that entitles the purchaser to a copy of Valkyria Chronicles 1 for a discounted $4.50 USD.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 is already out in Japan on PS4. The anticipated sequel is also set to launch in North America and Europe this fall across PS4, Switch, and the Xbox One. No word yet as to whether western fans will get a similar re-release of the first Valkyria Chronicles.
