During the EVO 2018 lineup reveal stream, Arc System Works presented a trailer for BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle. The trailer itself was largely the same as the one shown off during the Arc System Works Fighting Game Awards in January. It can be seen in the first 2:30 or so of the video below, showing off some of Arc System Works’ EVO offerings:
The trailer is generally the same as the previous trailer, although in English and with some additional information revealed at the end. Namely, that Blake Belladonna and the newly-revealed Yang Xiao Long will both be available as free DLC after the game’s release on Switch, PS4 and Steam on May 31 in Japan and Asia, and June 5 in the rest of the world.
While this may not entirely fix the problems with this game’s DLC for everyone, it’s impossible to deny that it’s a step in the right direction. The full price of the DLC characters remains to be seen, but the remaining RWBY characters being free is the minimum of what Arc System Works should do to try and restore the goodwill they lost after the controversial Blake reveal.
In addition to the BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle news, the video contained some information about an upcoming Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 version 2.1 patch, which has been undergoing location testing in Japan. The patch, which rebalances the entire cast, will be coming to the game in March of this year. If you’re interested, you can find the patch notes here.
