Out today in North America is the PlayStation Vita-exclusive Mary Skelter: Nightmares, in both digital and retail editions. It launches in Europe this Friday, September 22nd. In addition to on-the-go nightmare fuel, the game is also PS TV compatible if you want to see it on the big screen.

Japanese launch trailer

Developed by Compile Heart and published here by Idea Factory, Mary Skelter is a 3D Dungeon Crawler featuring girls trying to escape “Jail” via combat and dismemberment. If anything, it’s most notable for its heavy use of blood, as dungeons are laden with bloody violent traps, and skills that involve sucking (or licking) blood. The girls trying to escape are also being hunted by an immortal floor boss named “Nightmare”, who if found will trigger “Massacre Dagger Mode” until he is slain.

Whether you want it digitally off the PlayStation Network or physically from retail, Mary Skelter will run you $39.99 USD. A limited edition which includes a novel book, art book, and more is also available for $64.99 USD. And be sure to also check out Oprainfall’s ongoing playthrough on YouTube, as well as our upcoming review.
