At the weekend, Idea Factory had a trio of announcements to make at this year’s Dengeki Games Festival for both the Compile Heart and Otomate brands. All these announcements are for PS4, and only for the Japanese market.
The first announcement is that the Hyperdimension Neptunia series will be coming to PlayStation VR, with Megadimension Neptunia VIIR (Victory II Realize) coming to the platform, as well as PlayStation 4 so that those without VR can still experience the game. This title will be launching in Japan this summer. It appears to be a slice-of-life title involving the Neptunia goddesses. You can watch the debut trailer for this below.
Next up is the announcement of the fifth title in the Genkai Tokki series from Compile Heart and Felistella, titled Genkai Tokki: Castle Panzers, and is the first title for PlayStation 4. This title follows the “Boobs or Butt” countdown website, and is themed around a war between boobs and butts. There is no release date yet. You can watch the (slightly NSFW) trailer below.
Finally, Idea Factory have announced that their Otomate label will be coming to PlayStation 4, with Idea Factory noting on the Japanese PlayStation Blog that there are several otome games in the works for the platform. The first title is Hakuoki Shinkai: Fuukaden, which appears to be a compliation of both Hakuoki Shinaki: Kaze no Shou (known as Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds in English) and Hakuoki Shinkai: Hana no Shou although this has not been confirmed, but the trailer that you can watch below suggests it. The title will be launching in 2017 in Japan.
In other related Idea Factory news not announced at Dengeki Games Festival, Compile Heart have been teasing on Twitter that a new PS Vita-exclusive RPG is in development at the company, and they are hoping to reveal it soon. So therefore fans on PS Vita have something to look forward to as well from the developer.
