The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

There are a lot of things I associate with Nintendo. Jumping plumbers, family friendly chaos and innovative design. What I don’t typically associate with them is Football. American Football, that is, not to be confused with the far more intense Futbol. The reason I bring this up is because this weekend, Nintendo is using perhaps the biggest marketing opportunity, the Super Bowl, to show off both their new console, the Nintendo Switch, as well as the new Zelda, Breath of the Wild.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Slated to release during the 4th Quarter, the 30 second ad will feature everyone’s favorite yelling green elf showing off his style in Breath of the Wild. There is also a 90 second ad that you can see right now, which I will put at the end of this article. I think this shows how very invested Nintendo is in the Switch, and perhaps how much they have riding on the new system. I fervently hope it’s a success, and that it has a diverse, eclectic and fun roster of games that beggars the small sample available on the Wii U.

Are you planning on watching the ad live during the Super Bowl? If so, chime in below in the comments section, and let us know how excited you are, or aren’t, for Nintendo’s latest system. Also, let us know which games you can’t wait to play!
