Mobius Final Fantasy Steam combat

Mobius Final Fantasy Steam in-game

Square Enix has revealed the release date for the Steam version of Mobius Final Fantasy in a press release, previously released as a free-to-play game on iOS and Android devices. The game will be released on PC on February 6, 2017. The announcement was accompanied by a post on the Square Enix NA Blog, detailing the upcoming release.

The content in the Steam release will be the same as in the mobile version, but the new version will be upscaled into full HD. It will be playable in 1080p with support up to 4k, with frame rates between 60 and 120 frames per second. Players of the mobile game will be able to transfer their accounts into the Steam release. Based on the number of times people share the global Steam release campaign page, players who shared it will be able to win a variety of in-game rewards, including Summon Tickets, Phoenix Downs, Gold Openers, and Ability Tickets.

There’s also a new trailer for the release:

The release of the Steam version will be accompanied by a collaboration event between Mobius Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy VII Remake, which will begin on February 7. Regarding the collaboration, producer for both games Yoshinori Kitase said, “I am very happy to be able to announce a collaboration event featuring these two games today. The event will be released on February 7, when you will be able to see the dream pairing of Cloud and Wol in action!” The collaboration will be identical to one previously available in Japan, and will feature Cloud as a playable character and, at least to some extent, allow players to explore the game’s world.

More details of the Steam release can be found in the blog post, or on the campaign page for the global Steam version.
