PQube has confirmed (via Rice Digital) that they localizing the Marvelous yuri action game Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni exclusively for PS Vita for release in both North America and Europe this year.

Valkyrie Drive revolves around a group of women that are infected with the Armed Virus, that causes them to transform into weapons when aroused and these weapons can be used by other girls. It is developed by Meteorise and directed by Kenichiro Takaki, the director of IA/VT Colorful and the creator of the Senran Kagura series.

Here are some of the game’s features, outlined by Rice.

– When two girls get it on – one girl turns into a super weapon

– Wield your incredible pleasure powered weapons to take on hordes of enemies

– Ultra-fast hack and slash action with a focus on stylish aerial combos

– Power up your weapons by turning on your girlfriends

– Weapons can be levelled up in strength up to 15 times – getting bigger and more awesome looking every time

– Take your favourite girls into the dressing room and rub and touch to raise their levels

– Choose between 7 playable characters to master

– Return of the clothing destruction system – clothes get more ripped the more you fight

– 28 Story Missions to tackle – with high quality anime visuals

– Battle it out in arena based online multiplayer – up to 4 players

It’s worth noting, there is no mention of whether the game will be getting a physical release or whether it changes will be made to the game during localizing. Additionally, the translator of Steins;Gate, Reading Steiner, is working on the project as translator as confirmed via this tweet.

Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni released in Japan last December and is coming to North America and Europe this year for PS Vita.
