A Few (More Than Usual) Special Mentions For Our Audience

Adam’s Venture: Origins – PS4 Digital (Out 4/1)

As much as I love the Uncharted games (or even the new versions of Tomb Raider), this one looks to be a bit more relevant to the actual experience of an archaeologist. In other words, tombs and puzzles, a bit less of the extreme body count.

Arcade Archives Life Force – PS4 Digital

This is a major classic release. Many people consider Life Force to be superior to Gradius. Not only that, but this comes with both the original Japanese arcade game Salamander, and also it’s US remix Life Force.

Chronicles of Teddy: Harmony of Exidus – PS4 Digital

The game was known as Finding Teddy 2 on PC. As I said in my Review, the game is very much the spiritual sequel to Zelda 2, and I was very fond of it.

Gryphon Knight Epic – PS4 Digital

Classic side scrolling shooter only set in a medieval world. Looks to be very interesting from this trailer for it’s prior Steam release.

Nights of Azure – PS4 Digital, Retail

Koei-Tecmo is publishing Gust’s new action rpg, and it looks really pretty and fun. Don’t believe me? Check out Leif’s Review of the game.

No Time to Explain – PS4 Digital

Must… avoid… easy joke. Bah, forget it, no time to explain the easy joke… oops. At least the trailer pretty much speaks for itself.

Tachyon Project – PS Vita Digital

An innovative twin-stick shooter with a fascinating story about an AI trying to break into a system to discover her origins. Also has some stealth mechanics, which is quite rare for this type of game. One of many strong releases for the beloved PS Vita this week.

Trillion: God of Destruction – PS Vita Digital, Retail

One of the largest PS Vita releases of the year is here. We’ll have the review for this game up soon, but it is quite the hardcore rpg with strong Visual Novel elements. Sounds like a game up my alley.

UnEpic – PS4, PS Vita Digital (Cross-Buy)

It should come as a surprise to no one that I was one of those old D&D players. I still have my Red Box and also several of my old AD&D books. So this comedy hits me right where it does 2d8 damage. Oh, and the game looks pretty solid.
