After teasing us with info on the OST and making the original Bar Oasis free on mobile devices, Corners Studio is now opening early to give us a peek at the patrons of Bar Oasis 2 Aftertaste 1. This game is a time-management sim mixed with a healthy dose of visual novel and splash of interactive cocktail instructor. And with the release date coming after just one more last call, now is the perfect time to take a closer look inside.

Bar Oasis bar
Looks like a classy joint…

You play as barman Vic Johnson as he shakes it (and stirs it) for the various personalities of the establishment. You must use the right ingredients and create a whole bunch of ‘the usuals’ while making sure that no one is dry for too long. While preparing all these drinks you will become your customer’s best friend, therapist and confidante as they regale you with anecdotes and sob-stories. Your coworkers are there to listen to your woes and soon you might find yourself with a little more than friendship on your hands, employee or otherwise.

Bar Oasis gameplay
Tip your phone, not your glass, to pour.

Corners Studio hasn’t released a lot of information for the various characters that inhabit Bar Oasis but they had this to say:

“[There’s the] photographer and hopeless romantic Mark Rossi, middle-aged motorhead Jean-Francois S. Doudou, independent businesswoman Desree Mboshi, [and] gossipy party girl Vicky Gadd…”

Other persons of interest are the homeless looking musician Risa Konno, Vicky’s boyfriend with a yo-yoing weight problem Alex Walowitzki, and the fashion designers who may or may not be named Abbott and Costello.

If the colorful cast of drunkards isn’t enough to whet your whistle then you can try out Bar Oasis 2 Aftertaste LITE for free to see if this is the right cocktail for you. This and the premium £3.99 (about $5.60 USD) version will be available tomorrow, March 24th on iOS. The game will be making it over to Android at some point in 2016.

And if you get this title, remember to play responsibly. And I’ll let the picture below deal with any minors:

That’s pretty clever.
