A second trailer is now available for FuRyu’s upcoming RPG Exstetra. This trailer is much longer than the first and features a wide range of characters, including two new faces, and some battle scenes. Check out the video below to see for yourself.

In Exstetra, a realm full of monsters and magic has somehow broken through the barriers between worlds and merged together with modern-day Tokyo. In the midst of all the chaos, our amnesiac protagonist Ryoma discovers that he has a strange ability: he can awaken powers in people by kissing them. These individuals then become Prisma Knights and must fight back the encroachment of the new world to keep it from merging any farther with our own.

Some of the characters Ryoma gets to smooch include Mizuki, a somewhat shy archer who has some history with Ryoma; Shiho, a girl who dreams of becoming an idol; Masaru, an energetic gamer; Jin, a stoic kendo expert; Akari, a girl excited to become a “magical girl”; Kotone, a seemingly mature girl who fights with daggers; and Selene, a shrine maiden who comes from the mysterious fantasy realm rather than our world.

Exstetra is due out in Japan for Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita systems November 17th. If you like the idea of using romance as a battle tactic, then you might be interested in the upcoming Conception II, as it shares a similar theme.
