In case you missed it last weekend, Wii U owners were given the opportunity to try out the upcoming team-based shooter Splatoon during a few specific periods from May 8 to May 9. It was a great chance to experience the game’s mechanics firsthand, as well as try out a few of the weapons and get a feel for the quite unique Turf War Mode. We had some wild fun with the demo, and you can see a catalogue of our thoughts over at our roundtable discussion.
However, if you weren’t able to take advantage at the time, it seems that Nintendo will be giving players one more chance to try out the messy shooter before its full release on May 29. Starting now, players will be able to download the free Testfire demo from the Wii U eShop. Be aware, though, that you will not yet be able to actually play it quite yet. That particular privilege won’t come until next Saturday, May 23, where players will be able to connect from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. PST to take part in more four-on-four competition.
I know I’ll certainly be taking advantage. Will you? Let us know in the comments!
