Project X Zone

If you’ve been following my exploits with oprainfall at all, you’ll already know that Project X Zone is a title near and dear to my heart. It was not only one of the first games I covered on the site, but it was also one of my very first reviews! There was a lot of anticipation I had for the project, and it lived up to those expectations pretty darn well. It was a delightful mash up of characters from Bandai, Capcom and Sega, and one of those titles I never expected to get localized.

Which is why I’m so excited by the rumors I’ve been hearing online about a potential sequel being in the works. An Italian site apparently leaked information of the sequel, right before it was promptly removed. This could be because they broke an embargo by leaking said information. The supposed name of the potential sequel is Project X Zone: Brave New World. I certainly hope this sequel is legit, and thank Nintendolife for the heads up. It’s great to see ambitious, crazy projects like this on consoles, and especially on the 3DS, which in my opinion suffers from a drought of that genre. In the meantime, I’ll play the waiting game and hope that the countdown clock Nintendolife mentions relates to this game…
