A while back, I covered that The Menagerie, a Yuri H-game from Lupiesoft that was getting a demo on MangaGamer. Well, I finally had a chance to play through it and thought I would type up a few of my thoughts. This is an 18+ title and contains adult content, so, if you are offended by these things, you may want to hit the Back button now.
Something I always found to be very important in any visual novel is the artwork. The Menagerie meets my expectations on this very nicely. Each character, although they may look a little out there, is designed very well. From the cute Monkey to Rao-Ji the Drachene, there is a character that will meet your every preference. While only a few locations were shown in the demo, there is a good amount of detail in what I saw.
The music is top notch and one of the things I most enjoyed during my time with the demo. It has a Middle Eastern vibe to it, which fits in with game’s atmosphere very nicely. I cannot wait to hear more tracks when the full game is released. Though I would like to have had some voice acting in the game, it doesn’t kill the experience just because it isn’t there.
While I don’t want to comment on the story, since I only got a little bit in the demo, I will talk about the writing itself. The sex scenes are very well written and very erotic. Great detail is given in each one which describes perfectly what is going on in each scene. This level of detail helps you to not notice the lack of voice acting. I gather from the demo there will will be tons of choices you can make throughout this adventure and these will have great effects on the story depending on which way you go. There are some pretty over-the-top bondage and Futanari here. So, if that isn’t your cup of tea, you may want to avoid this one.
All in all, I am very intrigued as to where this story will go in the finished product. Normally, I wouldn’t go for this kind of hentai, but, for some reason, this really hooked me. It was probably Aishi’s nice ass! If you want to check out more about the game, including some uncensored CG, go over the MangaGamer product page.
