Square Enix has decided to release Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition, titled Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. During today up to September 13th, buyers will receive a 40% discount. A version for Nintendo Switch will soon release as well, with the same limited-time offer available.
The game itself was originally released on iOS, Android, and Windows 10 devices, with the aim to further expand the Final Fantasy XV brand, particularly for the time when the game was only available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It features a much more laid back artstyle, compared to the more realistic and grandiose style the original game had. Though, it is puzzling that Square Enix would to bring the game to consoles, where perhaps it is to bring a more cost effective option for audiences.
