Nintendo made a splash at this year’s E3 with Splatoon, a brand new IP featuring 4v4 multiplayer third-person shooting action and an action/platformer single-player campaign. The game has already inspired a wealth of fan-art and is one of the most anticipated Nintendo exclusives of 2015. To help ease the wait for more information about the game, Nintendo of America has launched an official Tumblr page for its upcoming squid vs. octopus simulator.

The Splatoon Tumblr page is very much a gathering of information released from the Japanese Splatoon Twitter feed, fully translated and featuring screenshots and concept art from the game. This information is being conveyed through the “Squid Research Lab,” an entity that is covering the ongoing conflicts between the squid/human hybrids and the octopus menace. The research notes cover a wide array of topics, from the squid’s weaponry and apparel, to the sharp fangs the squid girls and boys have, which is based on actual squid teeth. The page also contains several videos, including the entire Nintendo E3 Digital Event, the Splatoon gameplay from the Nintendo Treehouse Livestream, and the recently revealed single-player gameplay trailer in 60 FPS.

Splatoon is currently planned for Wii U during Q2 in 2015.
