Nintendo has just revealed that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be released worldwide in the next two months. Nintendo of America has announced that North America will receive the game on the 21st of November, in time for the Thanksgiving sales in the U.S. Meanwhile, Nintendo of Europe and Nintendo of Australia have announced release dates of the 5th and 6th of December respectively. These dates also include the GameCube controller adapter bundle, which allows you to play the Wii U version of the game using GameCube controllers. Nifty.
Nintendo has also revealed when the first wave of amiibo figures will be released. North Americans can get their hands on it the same day as Smash while Europeans and Australians get it on the 28th and 29th of November. The second wave hits stores in Europe on the 19th of December and Australia on the 12th of December. No date for the second wave was given for North America other than December.

- Donkey Kong
- Link
- Fox
- Samus
- Wii Fit Trainer
- Villager
- Pikachu
- Kirby
- Marth
The second batch of amiibos include:
- Zelda
- Pit
- Diddy Kong
- Luigi
- Captain Falcon
- Little Mac
Lastly, Nintendo has also confirmed that you can purchase the Super Smash Bros. GameCube controller and adapter separately upon release. Looks like we’ll be having a smashing Christmas… *ahem*.
