FLEXIBLE FUNDING

LAST CALL FOR FUNDING: DIESELSTORMERS

DieselStörmers

  • Goal: €2,500
  • Platforms: Steam, Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Xbox One, PS4; possible port to Wii U

From the Indiegogo page:

DieselStörmers has already been funded to be brought to Early Access on Steam. Now we want to give everyone who missed the first funding round or wants to pay via paypal the chance to still participate without us needing to set up a direct pledging infrastructure. Yes, Chris Roberts’ team does this on the fly, our team is busy with bringing DieselStörmers to Early Access. And who knows, maybe there is the chance for one or the other stretch goal beyond the 2.500 EUR.

DieselStörmers is a furious action game that follows the inhabitants of Ravensdale taking back their city from a rampaging ork horde. On release, the game will have a story/campaign mode that allows you to pick among a range of different missions with varying difficulties, objectives and parameters.

You can play in singleplayer mode or with up to four teammates in coop multiplayer mode to enable additional team strategies like energy arcs between players, team upgrades, complementing shot patterns and the parallel use of environmental objects. Coop at its best.

LAST CALL FOR FUNDING - Furball Rampage | oprainfall

Furball Rampage

  • Goal: $25,000
  • Platforms: iOS, Android

From the Indiegogo page:

Furball Rampage is an action side-scrolling running game for iOS & Android. What does a side-scrolling running game have to do with action? Well, unlike most running games out there where you just endlessly jump or duck to avoid obstacles, Furball Rampage adds a unique “twist” to the genre by adding an action element into the game. We call this special element, “Kata-Mode”.

Our first inspiration for this mode is from playing Katamari Damacy and it is from this where we got the name “Kata-mode”. For those who played this game, you’ll know that as the character collects more and more items, the bigger the ball of items get. You start off small but eventually you’ll grow to the size of buildings. We took this concept and applied it to our game.

You’ll start off with Joe being the size of an average hamster, small and insignificant. As you collect more and more items, you’ll be able to transform yourself from a small hamster to a giant monster capable of destroying buildings and wrecking havoc in the city.

The second part of our inspiration is from the old-school arcade game Rampage. When you activate your “Kata-Mode”, you’ll turn into a giant monster and have the ability to smash and destroy buildings around you like in Rampage. As the buildings crumbles, you can grab the people that run out from the buildings and eat them. The more people you eat, the more gold you’ll “crap out”. As you progress through this mode, you’ll battle army soldiers, helicopters, jets and even unlock special collectibles such as celebrities and sports figures for you to eat when they flee from buildings.

LAST CALL FOR FUNDING: Meatball Factory

Meatball Factory

  • Goal: $12,600 CAD
  • Platforms: iOS, Android

From the Indiegogo page:

Meatball Factory is already out there, you can find the game on Facebook and try it out. But, we need your help to finish the project, we want to port it to Android and Iphone/Ipad and make a promo video (quite funny). We where supposed to end the game earlier, but we added some more features and are running low on fuel.

  • The game is being produced by AJIS, a small company that hopes to fund more original ideas in the future. The games is being created & developed by IN Studios (www.instudios.ca) which used to work mainly in VFX and 3D assets creations but is now offering dev capacities. The team has been now cut down to two guys Alexandre Joset & Jean-François Genest.
  • We really think our game is a great and fun game that offers puzzle aspects and arcade/action fun. We have build it for Facebook first, since it was easier for us to dev and test. But, we are convinced that it is definitely a product that would be interesting on phones and mobile devices since you can play quick little rounds whenever you like.
  • By funding our project you are giving us the chance to distribute our product on other platforms. This, in return, should give us more visibility and the opportunity to generate enough interest and money to produce other great projects. Also, you get to receive cool gifts… isn’t that awesome?

So feel free to play the game on Facebook, there is a free chapter to try out. Then encourage us here by funding us, you can basically pre-order the game for a small amount of money or buy our promo items.

LAST CALL FOR FUNDING: Triggered

Triggered

  • Goal: $12,000 CAD
  • Platform: PC

From the Indiegogo page:

This project was spawned in response to a reddit post Shane wrote, about being mentally ill, in which he shared his experiences. The outpouring of responses the post received convinced him that he needed to start this project.

We want to create a game that, by using a medium of art, entertainment, and interaction, can create an experience that will give commonality for discussion. This project will allow others to experience what mental illness might be like when they may otherwise have never been acquainted.

Those who responded to the reddit post and said they sympathized, We hope, will play the game and say: “Yes. That’s pretty much what it’s like.”

Shane and Travis have always been interested in game design. They played games as children often and knew that this was the media they wanted to produce art in. They’ve said it for a while now, that no other media gives you choices the way Video Games do. Games invite you to live through an experience and engage in it. It could be called the ultimate media. They’ve always wanted to start making games, but never had the opportunity. Shane and Travis have many ideas for different games — games that will present a great experience.

Triggered is built on elements of a game concept that they had worked on before but, due to hectic academic lives, never finished. Changing a few key concepts of that original idea gave birth to Triggered. It delivers on everything we’ve set out to do. This is our opportunity, but it is one we need your help to achieve.
