I feel a little bad putting two Robot Masters on this list from Mega Man V, but it is especially merited by Mercury. Quite simply, he’s sneaky because he takes a page from Yellow Devil’s playbook and splits into smaller segments to hassle Mega Man. Though he’s not as big or tough as the iconic Devil, Mercury is no slouch. He’s tough, unpredictable, strange and sneaky because of it.

Robot Master No. 2: Dark Man

Okay, this one involves some spoilers, so avoid reading further if you’re worried by them.

Done? Okay, the reason that I say Dark Man is so sneaky is more for how he’s introduced to you in the game than how he fights you. Mainly, the fact that he takes the form of Proto Man to hassle and confuse you makes him super sneaky. Granted, you eventually figure out what is going on, but until then, this Robot Master added a lot of drama to a series not particularly known for it. However, there is one even sneakier than him…
