Senran Kagura 2

(Japan) Famitsu has confirmed that Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson will have co-op and tag-team multiplayer modes. Tag-team mode “Pair Battle” lets you fight with two paired-up characters who can pull off special combination attacks. There is no word yet on whether co-op mode will let you play locally only or over the net, as well.

Two new characters, Kagura and Naaku, were announced, and Ikaruga’s older brother will be available to players who have save data from Senran Kagura Burst. Don’t fret if you don’t have save data from the first game—he will be available as DLC later.

Famitsu also reveals there’ll be a limited edition release of Senran Kagura 2 fans can get at launch. The Nyuu Nyuu DX Pack will include five mini-figures featuring the girls from the Homura Crimson Squad and a drama CD. First prints will have the game’s OST, as well.

Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson is a side-scrolling beat-’em-up being developed for the 3DS to be released in Japan August 7 this year. For more info about the first game, Senran Kagura Burst, check out our review!
