Today, it was revealed that Medaka Kurokami from the manga and anime Medaka Box will be joining the roster for Namco Bandai’s upcoming Weekly Shonen Jump fighting game J-Stars Victory VS. Medaka Box is a very strange series involving the titular Medaka Kurokami, who was elected student council president at her high school. Medaka is a very abnormal girl in that she has abilities the other students can only dream of having. After all, her last name is spelled with the kanji for “god” (黒神 Kurokami). Once elected, she creates a suggestion box where the students can write and submit requests. Medaka then reads them and tries her best to fulfill the wishes of her fellow classmates.
Medaka will also be joined by Misogi Kumagawa, one of her rivals during one of the arcs in the series. Check out the scan to see how both characters look in-game:
J-Stars Victory VS is in development for the PlayStation 3 and Vita. So far, Medaka is the first and only female character confirmed for this game. Any predictions for the next female character to appear?
