Girls und Panzer Yukari, Saori, Miho, Hana, and Mako 001

Although it had premiered at Anime Expo earlier this month, the English trailer for Girls und Panzer, the 12-episode “Tankery”-based series, has finally been released. A solid release date has not been confirmed by Sentai Filmworks, but it is slated to be available on home video later this year.

Those who are eager to hear Girls und Panzer in English will have to be patient, as the English actors have not been disclosed. The narration — possibly from the actual dub — talks about the wonders of riding tanks for sport, boasting its positive influences on girls’ development and femininity, while the animations portray a more dangerous and less elegant view on riding these colossal machines.

It’s really fun to watch, and you can view the teaser below:

To get a brief overview on the series, Girls und Panzer follows Miho and her friends at Orai Girls’ Academy, as they become convinced after a string of circumstances to join the school tankery club. Afterwards, the girls take part in a championship competition against tank-riding students from around the world.

The series is available to stream on Crunchyroll, and you can read our write-ups, starting at episode one. Also be sure to read our editorial about why the series is the sleeper hit of the autumn anime season last year.
