While the idea of a first day DLC is usually cause for alarm and disappointment, Atlus and developer VanillaWare will be throwing eager Dragon’s Crown fans a bone the first month of the title’s release. A voice pack DLC that will allow players a degree of customization will be free for the first month of the games release, starting August 6th.

This  free voice pack will allow players to customize their story by giving them the ability to change the original narrator’s voice to one those belonging to the six playable heroes: the Amazon, Dwarf, Elf, Fighter, Sorceress, and Wizard. This narration will play after each chapter, detailing your exploits as you progress through the game.

This is going to be a limited offer, however. The voice pack will gain a price tag of $1.99 after the first month of the game’s release is over, so gamers should grab it as soon as possible.

For information on Dragon’s Crown and the voice pack DLC, here is information from Atlus themselves below.

Dragon’s Crown, the multiplayer action beat-em-up from ATLUS will offer players the ability to customize their story with different narrator voices from each of the six playable characters in the game: Amazon, Dwarf, Elf, Fighter, Sorceress, and Wizard. These character voices replace the game’s original narration with their own distinct voice.

Brave adventurers who play Dragon’s Crown right at launch will have a special offer – for the first month after the game’s release on Aug. 6, the game’s DLC will be completely free. After the first month, the voice pack will revert to a price of $1.99.

Dragon’s Crown will be playable at E3 this year! Stop by the ATLUS booth (West Hall #5010) and check out all the side-scrolling, dragon-slaying, butt-kicking action!

Dragon’s Crown will be exclusive to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita systems for $49.99 and $39.99 respectively and is available for pre-orders now from major retailers.
