Kars, the main antagonist from Part II: Battle Tendency and Rohan Kishibe who first appeared in Part IV: Diamond is Unbreakable were both confirmed as playable characters by this week’s issue of Shonen Jump, bringing the current character count up to 26. Other characters have appeared in trailers and the like, but have not yet been confirmed.
Shonen Jump also provided more details on the mechanics of the game. The feature described “Rush Mode” as a battle mode where button mashing is the way to beat your opponent. Additionally, the “Customize” system will allow players to select their character’s costume, victory pose, and remarks made during battle.
